A new kind of Young Adult novel

January 24, 2017

For too long now there has only been one kind of novel published for teenagers or young adults – that is to say, edgy, bleak, harsh, serious fiction about social issues and tormented lives. Isn’t it time for a change? Don’t our young people need to laugh as well? Haven’t they got enough stress in their lives already? I think so, which is why I have written a comic fantasy novel, The Infinite Powers of Adam Gowers, about a teenage boy who is granted an infinite number of wishes. It’s been taken on by the crowdfunding publishers Unbound: click below and you’ll see a neat little 2-minute video of me talking about it. And if you want to support the project and get your name in the back of the book – well, that would be just fantastic!
